So disappointed with ColdStorage Presentation

Pre-Ordered Honey Baked Ham from ColdStorage this X'mas but was disappointed with the presentation. I wasn't told that the Honey Baked Ham of 1 kg does not come with a box. When I collected it at the ColdStorage what they did was they took the Honey Baked Ham just like the counter purchased ham, pre-packed and put it into a plastic bag and handed it to me. I would ask for a box but they didn't even offer if I would like a box to be placed in it. Was so disappointed with the way they presented the Honey Baked Ham I ordered without a box at all.

My comment here is if it doesn't come with a box, wouldn't it be nice that I be informed about it? Is this the service ColdStorage presents to their customers? I have always trusted ColdStorage for its service but was disappointed to learn this is what they can do. If the Honey Baked Ham of 1 kg does not come with a box then how am I going to give it away as a gift? Lucky I am giving the Honey Baked Ham as a gift to someone who doesn't really mind without box. Another thing, if it doesn't come with a box at all, what for pre-order from them? I might as well get it from a counter as cut ones or even the whole piece. After eating it, I didn't find any difference from the picnic ham either. Can't even taste the honey! Guess.... next year can don't order from ColdStorage already coz makes no difference... save my money for a better X'mas Log Cake and it will not come from ColdStorage.

Christmas Eve

Ok... Christmas Eve at work was half a day. Although no official declare but guess that my boss didn't have a choice either coz the bus company tag to with other company leave at specific time and no special arrangement after that.

Boss left early to go somewhere for a meeting. I gave her a small gift after struggling what is a practical gift to give her. As you can see... I am just complex... just hard to explain it. Anyway, I just didn't want to settle for a Ferro Rocher chocolate for a gift. Besides, someone else have given her that so ... can't repeat that, though it is a gift that counts. Not sure did she open it to see but when I pass by her office she seem to be very happy .. surprise to see my Christmas gift for her at her desk. She even gave me a hug.... I find that wierd though coz I never get hugs from bosses before but never the less... it feels very comforting just like a family feeling ... like my cousins and Aunties from my father's side; we too always give hugs to show we love each other.

So what did I buy? Working in a Petrochemical area, fire is a threat...if you can call that... so I bought her a Aroma Therapy that looks like have flame but it runs on battery and can even use the USB to give it light. No need to add water but have a so called absorbent so that you can add the kind of oil you want. Not really expensive but meaningful though. I even bought one for myself. Oh yeah... as I was saying Petrochemical... can't light up the fire there so this Aroma Therapy would be good... looks like fire but not "fire" and you can even have the kind of oil you want.. helps to ease your stress. Cool right? Besides, you can even blow it out!

This was bought the night before Christmas Eve. I don't usually go shop during Christmas Eve. The reason being... the whole of Singapore people all shop during this time. so CROWDED ... just hate crowds coz just slow slow slow... None the less.. I got through the crowded and messy shopping mall.

Am I a Sucker for being good

Sigh... good people never have good ending! So am I a sucker for being good? Well, it does seem so to me! The things I do for people end up being stupid myself! People think otherwise and jump into conclusion that I am "the bad" guy. Sigh... at times like this, I wish to give up trying so hard to fight the battle. Fighting a loosing battle seems so discouraging. What can I say?

Trip to Bangkok

After 2 years or may be more of not travelling, I thought this time would plan ahead and make this trip a fruitful on.

Bangkok have always been known for the cheap shopping and eating. Sigh... but this time round I think otherwise. I bring a my son to Bangkok for the first time. It was his first trip away from home and thought it would be fun for him. Yeah it sure fun for him but HELL for me coz he keep on disobedient; running around and not wanting to hold hands. Sigh... frastration .... and my older girl didn't help to ease the pain. Instead create more frastration then ever. Arghhhhh...

Ok I thought of buying and buying ... but end up shopping and shopping and never bought much. Why? Things there isn't all that cheap! May be a dollar or two cheaper then where I am staying but not like really dirt cheap where I can buy many back. Sigh... disappointed ... Still, thought I can enjoy tons of good food but miss the Thai seafood in which I didn't get to. The one which we used to go to, have gone ka putt (run out of business). However, we did enjoy the Japanese food and other food at MBK especially the fish maw soup. Yum ... yum...

Next time go there again? I'd think twice.

What is popular this time is handbags! Kids clothes.... don't ever think you can find it in Pratunam nor much at all in Pa Pong. MBK, more baby clothes then todler clothes and still not as cheap but compare with Pa Pong, MBK may be a place to consider buying from in the end. Went to R&D Fashion at the City Complex at Pratunam thinking of buying a nice dress for myself but there ain't any I like and disappointed, they hardly have any dresses in their shop there too :(.

Charity comes with a fixed price

Recently I bump into a sales person, not sure if you'd call her a sales person for charity, but she was stopping people on the roads to introduce heart disease and stroke is the number 1 killer statistics.

Anyway, as the story goes, I told her to cut to the chase and tell me what she needs as I have no patience nor time to hear their story and she did. She is asking for me to donate some money. Then, I say ok.. but I can only donate $10.00 coz that is my budget and finally everything came out. The Truth! How irony is that! She say.. most people would donate on a yearly basis and at a FIXED PRICE! I like HAR! Then I say Sorry I can't do that... economy bad .. jobs not fixed... if no money how to pay charity.. I can't stop charity payment right? Then she say yes you can't stop the payment and I say No. What make me write this blog is.. what is happening to this world? You need the money and I gave what I can afford to you but you have a fixed price I have to follow? This is absurd. I may understand that you are trying to raise a certain amount but making it fixed price is juse too absurd for a charity organization. Plus, at a economy bad time, people are stringent about their money. Really funny how charity have come with a fixed price.

ISO Celebration

Today is the ISO Celebration for our company.

We have been preparing this for a week that is after two weeks of deciding which restaurant would my boss pick.

As expected, although there are fans, the place is still quite humid. I have been sweating the whole day due to busy in assigning the jackets as we would like to give them out at the dinner. I am exhausted but can't get to sleep at night. The night before also have problems getting to sleep. Not sure why. The night before could be too excited. Today could be, I drank too much wine that is keeping me awake. See.... while others drink to sleep. I drink to awake... what are the odds of that

Ok.. someone bailed on me for driving the jackets and also bailed out on me for driving me home. As I expected, depending on people are HARD... exceptionally HARD! Squeezing some Team Work out of the managers seems harder. Everyone seem to be pushing here and there. Again, guess I was right in being the camera man myself coz no one will do the job... they'd rather be eating and enjoying the food. But someone gotta to do it right? May God bless me or not for sacrificing ... he never did.. if I were to see on other people point of view... good things never always come to me ... sigh...Took a cab home anyway.

Happy that everybody got to enjoy the food. For me.. I enjoyed the Goby Fish.. or they called it Soon Hock. Not forgetting their desert too. Of course not forgetting their most expensive dish is the Sharks Fin and the Kum Pao prawns with scallop. hahhhaa

Insulting JERK

Ok.. a guest came from J! Before he arrived, I already know what kind of character he is. & I was right about him! How I know? Through e-mails he communicated with my colleague who is of the same level as him. His e-mail was outright RUDE and a snob. Yes.. I do admit that sometimes I do talk a bit fast.. and it is my nature... but today he really insulted me by saying I talk fast. Actually I could insult him back saying "Oooops didn't know that I need to slow down coz your ENGLISH is POOR and you don't understand" When he first step in I already foresee his chauvinistic pig attitude when my colleague introduce me to him.. he like.. couldn't be bothered with small people like me. EXCUSE ME! I may sit at the reception, but I sure not a receptionist hor! Don't judge the book by its cover. Besides, I am sitting just below my boss already tell you that my position isn't that small. I just want to be small only and if I want to be BIG I will make myself known and I am not saying growing in size, JERK! Never mind... but somehow I am also glad that I wasn't feeling well joining him for dinner coz I eat and chew and grind the PIG but I don't dine with them ! If you know what I mean.

Childcare Centre

Have been played out for Cairnhill Educare. I recalled that I went to visit the childcare in June and the principal was the one who entertained me with my enquiries and visiting the place around. Told me many postive things about the school. I was so pleased then and look forward to putting my son there. However, I couldn't decide when I want to put my son in their school. I was telling her then that may be planning to put my son in Mar, she was saying that Mar may not have place then Dec would be a good time. Then, she continue to say call back in October to let her know what are my plans.

I called her month earlier and guess what she said to me "I didn't promise to give you a place right?" was her sentence to me but I never even say that she promised me a place. Besides, who will ever answer back a customer like that. Sigh .. what bad service is that! You tell me to call back to confirm and now she tells me there is no place. Still, the day before I called her she say she will have to check her name list and get back to me but never did... sigh... another bad service. Besides, what is the point to put my name in the waiting list if you there isn't any place at all? Disappointed!

My opinion of this sculpture when I first saw it while the bus was passing by the museum, was it really caught my eye. At first I thought was some people pretending to sit there to get attention but later found it to be sculpture. Hhahahaha so real!

Serangoon Garden North Flash Back

I recently went to Serangoon Garden to check out what happen to the place that used to be Serangoon Garden North Primary School. Couldn't pin point the location as I do not have the exact address. However, I later found out that by narrow down, I can use Serangoon Garden South School as a point.

Guess what! Today, the place where Serangoon Garden South Primary School used to stand is currently being rented out to a Foreign School called Lycee Francais de Singapore. By looking at the pictures taken by them can bring some flash back where Serangoon Garden North School used to stand. It doesn't makes much of a difference. Hope this does shed some fond memories that were left behind of what is left of Serangoon Garden North Primary School as well as Serangoon Garden South Primary School in which you can never find much informtion over the internet.

好人有好报吗?

人人常常说,好人会有好报的!好人,真的有好报吗?

I have been asking myself this question for a long time and sometimes I feel that being the bad guy is better then being a good guy. As the saying goes, the good guy always come last while the good guy wins the rat race. CRUEL but true in life. No matter how hard you try to avoid this truth, it always comes back to haunt you! Life SUCKS but what can we do about it? NOTHING but except to accept and move on. There is nothing much you can do even no matter how angry or how much you hate this. Pray that time will heal this and help you to move and and join the club of pretenders.

Today is the day I bring up some issue to my boss. Final verdict as to did I win? I didn't quite win the battle... but I do emphasize that I need some improvement to make this work. Not really what I expected the outcome to be. If things are easier then ok.. just move along with it. Fighting will defintely not gain me anything ... that is what I have learn ... so just do my best... However, I don't know if what I have raised actually was it a mistake. No matter... like Lady Macbeth states... what is done cannot be undone. I can only see how it goes. If it does not really work out means time to go!

Ok I took this opportunity to ask if I can work off the 30 mins for the company during lunch time (take my lunch time cut short to 30 mins only) and leave together with the 5pm transport. So what is the outcome, well she agree but she commented that "you'd be better taking 30 mins for lunch only and not longer" I am shocked by her comment but nonetheless I replied "I then don't want to take advantage of you" I should have replied "boss for all the things I do for the company, I never once take a calculator out to calculate... but instead I let it rest here. For this comment I am HURT by it. I start to wonder if I should continue to stay here as it seems to me that my dedication to the company is no longer appreciated. & that is why I don't really like it when she rewards me with earthly pleasures coz they are just something that will not last forever and just to keep you happy for brief moment. Sigh... but then I still took it as a gesture. Guess that is LIFE!

Difficult Year still ahead

This year have been a difficult year to get by and still it is still Aug and counting till Year 2009 ends.

First, one thing suppose to come through didn't if not this year would have been a great year ahead. Then, came the Swine Flu... but this may be a good thing coz it helps to ease the pain that what we didn't get, this has come a blessing in disguise. Still, Swine Flu have also let us discovered that we have got justice in some way and I hope the evil ones get it! Sorry for cursing but I wish justice is served to those who do evil and would not get away with it all the time. To tops that, I am still stuck in Jurong Island working. I love working here but and I do but Transport SUCKS .. NO THANKS to TNC Company... just yesterday I was standing at the bus stop waiting for the stupid public transport served by TNC... while waiting I have already feed mosquito.. got four bites on my body. Then I have hear this stupid crap from the driver.. he almost ... he was testing not to stop.. then I wave ... This is not FUNNY hor! Made a stupid remark saying "I thought you don't want to take the bus!"Then I say HELLO... then what for I stand at the bus stop .. YOU XIAO (mean CRAZY) ... you think I stand there to feed mosquito har... That is why I am afraid off... I don't want to waste time for the bus but if I don't take also this stupid driver don't come here ever coz Nobody take the bus. DEPRESS!

Helping VS Responsibility

Recently the term "HELPING" seem to have a whole different meaning to me! I have offered to help many people in terms of work wise, not like I brag about it. However, helpful does have a price to pay coz people start to change it to be a "RESPONSIBILITY" thing. Not sure which dictionary they are using but this isn't my kind of definition. It is at times like this that makes me think that Helping is not a good thing coz it only brings more trouble to you. So much for the kindness and that is why people like me tend to lose or HUMANITY and become Ruthless BEAST!

Many times we put hopes into something we very much wanted but to find in the end we end up being despair and disappointed when it didn't quite came through for us. Thus, the saying would go, 不要有希望 ... 就不会有失望! Elimate the hope and then you will not feel disappointed.

Recieved an SMS over the weekend

I recieved an SMS message on my mobile phone over the weekend in the middle of the night. This is no regular SMS message from a friend. It states that she is divorced and a free person.

After receiving message like this, I didn't quite reply to her. Well, what can I say? "Congrats that you are a free person"? Doesn't really sound right? It does disturb me some way as to why she send SMS announcement like that but can only guess that she don't want someone she know asking her about her husband. Guess I should be happy for her that she is happy? This is just wierd and mixed feelings. Just one thing to add which is "SPEECHLESS"!

If I have 1 Billion Song

This song is very popular especially in the Teochew version. Just this morning the radio was playing this song but it is in Chinese Version. So I asked the Uncle who was driving me to work is this song's lyrics the same as the one in the Teochew version and he replied yes.

The lyrics states that if I have 1 billion smackroos, I will do this and this and that..... somethings that was listed in which he will do includes eating SuShi everyday, buy shares, drive a Benz... the funny part is if he spent it at this rate, his 1 billion will turn into zero. Buying shares? It is so risky and practically throwing money into drain if you do not know what to buy and what not to buy.

For me, if I have 1 billion, I would buy land or even set up my own company to generate more money. I will spent it on buying property and many of it and have it rent out or even stay in it for awhile to enjoy life. After bored with it, sell it and I am still rich. Buy a car, may be not coz car depreciate too fast down here so it is not worth it. Thus, the idea of money make more money so that money won't run out that fast.

1 Year Anniversary @ Company (Jurong Island)

This very day is the 1 year anniversary @ my company in Jurong Island. Hurray that I managed to survive the 1 year. & may I add that it wasn't easy either. I got my ups and my downs especially the transport here on several occassions have made me give up wanted to leave. Then there are other times that I am so angry with the people here also make me want to leave. No matter I have SURVIVED

Final Episode of Reaper - Finally Caught Up

With busy schedules and no time for television like ever since my second child came, I finally able to catch up with my favorite show "The Reaper". Thanks to Technology people called Internet.

My Review for the final episode? SUCKS
Stupid ending! Andy sold her soul to the devil for Sam and stupid Sam go blow his chance to buy his contract for his soul with the devil. Then he broke his hand when he shake his hands with Steve the angel. Steve is an angel and he do that! Unbelievable! Ending with both looking at Steve go up to heaven gaining his wings coz he broke Sam's hand. How can this be a good ending. No wonder it was CANCELLED.. abrupt ending!

Tough Week Survied

This week was a tough week with guest here at the company. Then there was issue with colleague who have back stab me coz a cheque I mentioned that they should have communicated and came all at once so that I could help to get my boss to sign them once without having to interrupt her all the time just to sign 1 miserable urgent cheque. Thanks for the "not so understanding" and so much from me for helping them. This is it! I no longer want to help them - but I know it is still not my style to do it. Anyhow, this stupid girl have totally no sense of e-mail etiquette which she send e-mail due to the cheque to irrelevant parties.

P/S: today I have to take taxi to come to work early coz the Auntie Cleaner is sick and couldn't help me make the coffee. Time like this I am sick of working in Jurong Island coz cases like this, I have to get up early and take a cab to work. Haiz

Again another Challenge

This week is a busy week for me as I the maid around the company. Thanks that I have a little help from the Auntie Cleaner. Started the week PEEVED coz of the guest. Then came the all the last minute request from the guest too. So annoying! However, I tolerated it!

The intention of resigning have come across my mind several times this month. Why? Filled with so much frustration on the transport to get here and out of here! Still, sitting at the front desk like a watch dog like that is not bad enough, people annoys me continuously by asking did you see the bus pass by and what time is it. I sit at the front desk but don't mean I watch for everything all the time. I have other work and issue to focus on then other your bus coming already. & for this very reason, I always never like the part about having to be the receptionist part. This is what happens when you are the receptionist. People take you for GRANTED! HEY I ain't no watch dog hor!

FireFox ROCKS!

Failed MegaVideo and made me source for alternative. Although I have wasted my money but at least I know that I should never trust sites like that again. So do all of you out there. Don't be fooled by it either.

Found this interesting thing which is an Add Ons for Fire Fox. It works wonder! It downloads videos while playing it. Stumble on it when I was crazy looking for alternative sites for videos. The software is DownloadHelper. Boy! Is it helpful! Love this feature LOTS! ... ok after download it, you may need a player to play it coz the software download format is flv. So .... another Add Ons for Fire Fox? Ok ... share with you also.... it is called the ConverterHelper! This software helps you to convert the downloaded video into a format in which you can play with , with a current software you might already have and do not want to download and install onto your computer. Cool ain't it! Hheehhhee I find it too! & it took me the whole morning to do this. However, it was worth it.

Megavideo - Five Thumbs DOWN

I finally decided to sign up the TV show download with Mega Video coz they are cheap - they got 1 month cheap membership to try out. So thought I do it over the weekend. Guess what, Suay (bad luck in hokkien)!

I thought I can watch after sign up then realize they were down, I think. I didn't know until I realize it was too late. Sigh... then they never even put their system is currently down message on their site to stop end user like me from signing up. What kind of service is this! FURIOUS... this is going to clock my one month's membership with them. Still, it never indicates when will it be up either... I send my feedback to them.. 2 working days to respond... Sigh ... no wonder cheap thing never come good until now I still one to believe that. Never the less, I sign up one month after that no way I going to re-new it. Lucky for me I only sign up 1 month. It is things like this that shakes the confidence I have in company like this.

New Driver can't be trusted - My time ticking here?

Well, I think my fate here in this current company is ticking! Why?

I thought I found another driver to serve our company but I end up with something that is no good! Today, I tried to discuss with him on going to pick the company guest up and he say that he rather pick the intern up coz he want to avoid ERP charges (which he have to pay himself not covered by company). I like har! It is in agreement that you have to do that. If timing wise not right, ok fair enough but that is not a valid reason. Anyhow, after thinking for awhile, I told him, you have to pick the guest up coz it is their first time here at the plant if not they will get lost. Then he say ok.. However, I say in a polite way ... no ... you still have to pick them up.

So the topic this morning in Class 95 is "Does slimming centre work?"

I send my comments through SMS to Class 95 not hoping that it would be read as there are tons of people who will do the same. What happen next? Well, I was lucky ... FD ( the Dj Name) read my SMS exactly the same as I have written it. YIPPY! That made my day and may I say it, such a happy one! How lucky can one get.. hehhee

Can I beat the Curse?

Ok.. my one year anniversary in this current company is coming up. The offical 1 year will be next month.

For this history of my career, I have stayed in Chartered Semiconductor for the longest time. During that time I have enjoyed knowing friends and leaving them behind. I have long past cut myself away from the memories there, not like I don't enjoy it but hanging on to it will make it hard to move on - I seem to notice that after sometime.

So will I be continuing to break the curse of how long can I stay in one company? Well, I am tring very hard to break the record for the second time and hoping I can stay longer than 2 years. It seem to be very hard as my current working place is far far away and transport everyday is a hassle. Trust me when I say it is a hassle. It runs on a stupid private bus who picks their own time to come and breaks down don't send for a backup. See... how hard this is going to be?

Trying to recover being played out ....

Filled with aggitation this week as I try to heal myself and get over with being played out by my dispatch person for giving me such hope to have a ride out of Jurong Island and reaching home early and then say he couldn't. I can understand that he has his reason for doing it but I still feel disappointed.. as I try to get over the feeling. It is not easy .. sigh .. resign from this job is popping into my head several times. However, like the cleaner Auntie say would it help if I resign? I will not get that kind of pay outside.. and so true .. Sigh .. more white hairs going to pop out of my head like pop corn. SUCKS .. !

I tried to find other ways but then not within my budget either. Like my husband say, "you not paying him anything yet what so he can change his mind"and this hurt. Husbands like that to hurt you and not comfort you. Sickening....

On the other hand, I lay my tarot card and the answer is that I should also stay. Doubly suck.

There are no FREE Lunch

I have come across this lesson many times and have every time trusted it. Guess this term have never failed !

I thought I found a fast ride out of Jurong Island with this new company dispatch but today, guess I was wrong. Sigh... so disappointed and low in morale. He told me that his younger daughter want to use his vehicle so he can't come back here to pick me. Hey ... this ride is not for free ... I am going to pay him. I am filled with sadness and disappointed... that all my dream to hang on onto this job has shattered. Sigh ... kindness never pays... good people is never written on face nor just saying that person is kind. Getting to know a person needs time... and I know that this ride was too good to be true and like I expected too.

SoundBuzz closing - SAD

I finally found something that works for me and here comes the bad news today!

DAMN! I have been downloading MP3s at Soundbuzz which I found not long ago that they have a wide selections of MP3 music which is not illegal. Not sure of the reason why they are closing down but it is sad... now I got no more latest MP3 music for downloading. It SUCKS!

Good Day ... Until...

Today is a good day!

I went with my husband to Sizzler at Toa Payoh to eat steak. Yum yum... juicy steak... and free flow of salad bar and finish with a cuppicino. S A T I S F Y I N G! So full that I rest like a big slob on the chair with my stomache so full until I could hardly walk.

Later went to buy another expensive shoe Scholl I saw I like and it was on sale. The one I just bought not long also expensive but suck coz it cozing my leg very much ache and the rubber has worn off badly. Pansy shoes... SUCKS... not ever going to buy. Just throw my money away. Sigh ... but can't save the money on this coz I do a lot of walking around.

Again come home with two children and angry again coz my girl refuse to listen to me again dispite I told her not to do something.

H1N1 Count until TODAY!

Now Singapore cases of H1N1 have been confirmed as of today is 8 cases.

In TODAY's newspaper, the last one was a 15 year old boy who went to Atlanta in U.S. for study reasons and got infected. His fever symptoms was caught on scanner in Changi Airport and was sent straight to hospital.

Here comes the anger part! Why are schools still proceeding with sending students for project reasons to U.S. when they know that H1N1 disease are going around there? Why they want it to spread faster? For some stupid reason why the school cannot just cancel the project and / or postpone it due to unforeseen reasons? This is so typical! People are also typical! Did the student highlight that their health it as risk just to get this project done? So many questions but not sure anybody even care to ask or even to take action until they catch the disease! Good lor! Now we have increase cases of H1N1 flu! Thanks for contributing to Statistics!

Tomorrow will sure be a a Great Day! Not sure for others but definitely for me! Its the "B Day"for me and I am going to enjoy eating something I like without kids hanging around. P E A C E F U L!

Updating those I care and know

SMS people I used to know.... writing letters to people I know even I am no matter how busy... Well, lately I have been wondering... why am I always doing this? I am always " The One" to SMS friends I used to know saying "How are u?" This has never happen to me the other way round as in others SMS me to say "Hey How are u?" Sigh... S A D & P A T H E T I C but true! Other people keep telling me how busy they are doing this and that but never got the time to even care to write and say hello to me either... So I GIVE UP! I can take the time and you can't! What's wrong with that! So busy until no moment to even SMS to say Hello? & for this reason and only one I never even believe when anyone tell me "Hey keep in contact OK!" sentence everytimg I move on to somewhere else.

Training Day

Today is a B U Z I Day for me! Have to place lunch have to make coffee and have to set the place up. No matter! I get to be trained with certificate so can't complain. Have to come in a bit early coz I was on half day leave the day before. Certain things must be pending the day I thought. However, free food!

Back Packs

I used to like back packs very much coz you can throw anything into it and carry behind you back with both shoulder weight but lately I have been thinking otherwise. Why? As Singapore grows more crowded then ever and MRTs get packed like sardine and boarding bus are gets narrow, back pack has become a nuisance. People who are carrying back packs like to do this.... pull their bag and not caring if their bag scratch someone behind them or even swing and hit someone face. When MRTs are so pack, they don't even care to bring it down so it is like the back pack occupy one human standing space. In-considerate people please bring your back pack down and stop swinging it. You bag don't hurt but other people's body or face does!

Meet the Parent Session Day

Today went down to see my girl's form teacher. Ok.. I displayed my displeasure about how the school let the teacher start this term in the school and resigned a few months later stating she wishes to get married. I believe getting married is not like over night plan ... for one certainly not a culture in Singapore... no offence to others... but this is ridiculous. So another teacher have to pick up the pieces from where she left all the shit. Then, I continue ranting about my girls habits and how the teacher need to be strict with her and punish her if must if not she will take her for a ride. Ok .. I may sound exaggerate a bit but she does take people for granted. The teacher wasn't much of a talker. Both teacher I talk to don't dare say much about my girl just say she ok .. hmmmm... that is so unsure... anyway... I heard what I need to hear... W E A K N E S S in her studies and where she needs to improve in.

Suprise part is last year in Primary 1, her Chinese teacher request for Meet Parent Session but this year Chinese teacher don't want to see me? Sigh.... so not standardize procedure. Change like this is not good! I heard from other parent that ... now a days school everywhere has the same problem ... Thus, the idea of transfer school is shoot down coz it is useless to do that.

Fulfilled Craving

Today on leave and go my usual favorite place to eat for lunch with my husband. International Lunch Buffet @ Vienna. Peaceful without having kids around. I actually eat until almost want to puke and that is how full I am. For such a long time I finally enjoy eating something not only I like but in peace and in slow pace. Sigh ...

I been having craving lately to eat oyster... plenty of it... and shashimi ... tons of it and also their popular rose tea. Wow what satisfaction. Every year I would also take leave to watch a movie by myself. The movie I would always catch is Harry Potter. I am a huge fan of Harry Potter show. However, the show have been delayed so long. Anyway, today I watch the Star Trek .. also a huge fan. Enjoyed the show except I miss in betweens coz I had to hit the toilet a few times due to diarrhoea. Not sure was it becoz I eat too full just now or really I got food poison by the so many raw food I eat. It was all worth it .... hehehehe

Judgemental - Who isn't?

Ok ... I am guilty of being judgemental at times but who isn't? If you say you aren't then you must be kidding coz no one can or able to do that. Even the slightest thing you hear from your friend you start to wonder and that is call Judging. Judging weather what you hear is correct or not or do you have controversy to that statement.

So how can we avoid it? You can't really and there isn't a solution to it. You are constantly hearing what others say and seeing what others have done and comparing what your philosophy is.

Palm Sunday - What is all means?

According to Wikipedia HERE, Palm Sunday means A palm branch (or palm frond or palm stem), usually refers to the leaves of the Arecaceae (sometimes known by the names Palmae).
The palm branch was a symbol of triumph and victory in pre-Christian times. The Romans rewarded champions of the games and celebrated military successes with palm branches. The motto of the HMS Nelson and the University of Southern California is "Palmam qui meruit ferat", which means in Latin, "Let him bear the palm who has deserved it". Jews followed a similar tradition of carrying palm branches during festive times.

Christianity term

Early Christians used the palm branch to symbolize the victory of the faithful over enemies of the soul, as in the Palm Sunday festival celebrating the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. In Christian art, martyrs were usually shown holding a palm frond, representing the victory of spirit over flesh, and it was widely believed that a picture of a palm on a tomb meant that a martyr was buried there.[2]

Are there no more GENTLEMEN?

Just that day I was catching the bus to work and this man may be in his 40s keep cuting infront of me to get on the bus. PLEASE ... not like that is no seat but even you rush up the bus, the bus also won't move immediately what. It still have to wait for other passengers who want to take the same bus to board. Anyhow, I let him go.

Then that evening again there a another man who cuts infront of me to tap his ez-link card so that he can get out of MRT soon. This is really sad to know that GENTLEMEN are getting few or none.

Pansy Shoes

Recently I bought this shoe at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and found it to be similar to the bran Scholl but slightly cheaper then Scholl. Besides, Scholl designs is just so "Auntie". Meaning, you wouldn't caught dead wearing it if you are someone younger then 50s.

Pansy shoes have this three acupressure points made into the inside sole of the shoes which helps to make walking comfortable on the heels. So far, I find that my heals are not so hurtful like it use to coz I always walk in a rush to get home. However, I do find that their rubber sole under the shoe isn't quite as good. It seems to wear off a bit too soon. How I can tell coz the rubber staring to have like a torn cloth effect.

Can't Connect Bus Again!

Jurong Island bus service is currently being serve by Transit Network Consortium (TNC) and their service SUCKS!

Since this year the service going in and out of Jurong Island have turn worst. There are several occasions that the bus breakdown and needs repair so not enough bus running from Jurong East to ferry to Jurong Island Checkpoint. Thus, long waiting time. As if before that the waiting time is already that bad enough, now breakdown even worst. When cases like this happen, if you are heading to somewhere far inside Jurong Island and needs to transfer to another number bus, you can't even connect. Thus, I am always late for work. When I complain that their bus is always late, they complain they are not earning enough from this. I say.... how can they earn enough if their service is so bad? Bus break down and timing cannot connect and bus driver not on schedule timing? No wonder many have drop/ avoid taking the bus. I have no choice but to endure the aggitation.

School Exams Month

This month is a very busy month for me as my girl starts her mid-term examinations. Every weekend is burnt to core and scream like HELL break loose to make her study for her exams. So hardly got the time to even write my thoughts down. As you can see I have been too busy since my last post. Besides, haven't have any good topics in mind to add.

Professional Admin Week

Thank you Boss for appreciating my hard work!

This week is professional admin week and I have been nominated besides some others to go to a hotel to enjoy a meal. As much as I would like to go but I am situated in Jurong Island so I pass that opportunity to go as I do not want to leave and enter again after the event. Just too tiring for me with the traveling.

So my boss know that I gave up the chance to go and she got me the below flowers. I came to work one morning and I saw it on my table together with a card with my name on it. For a moment I thought it is from my husband... then I shake off and say niah... he haven't done that for many years and counting he'd never do that. Guess I was right!

Zhen Fa Steamboat - My Review

Zhen Fa Steamboat have been around for quite some time. They used to be located in Clementi then they move to Marina South and the recent location was 275 Thomson Road. Just opposite of Novena Church.

It seems that many people go there to eat. Just yesterday I saw the MioTV about buffet that they were on the list too. Looks like they have improved a lot in what they provide so thought we go there and try. However, it was a huge disappointment! This guy who was a consumer in the ad said that the eclairs was good. I tried it and almost puke. It tasted HORRIBLE... no offence... I have never ever tasted such terrible eclairs in my life! The cream just taste YUCKY! Ok ... housefly flying everywhere, though normal but one landed up in their cocktail drink. YEW! Lucky I didn't drink. My husband saw it swimming in it. The place was CRAM! I feel so uncomfortable and frustrated eating and wanted to get out there soon.

& the steamboat cost $20++.. which I find not worth it. The sushi ain't tempting at all. The selection... arh.... controlled prawns and crab... Not like the add says fresh jumping prawns. Tepanyaki, sauce ain't that fantastic coz it is not tasty at all that you want to go for more. Fondue, not much selection except for the marsh mellow and nothing to hold the chocolate like the ad says. Fruits is pathetic only orange and water melon and not more. Won't go there ever again!

Ever Spring Acupuncture & Tonic Centre

Finally got to Ever Spring Acupuncture & Tonic Centre This have been pending on my list to get to for long. It have been taking me ages to get to it. Last time they were located opposite of United Square and then was easy to get there but they have since moved to somewhere else which I don't know how to get there and also afraid of get lost. I know ... I know ... Singapore so small where can get lost. You'd be pretty amaze that Singapore is so developed that you don't even know that you have this small road on the street directory.

& may I say I am GLAD! The pain have been with me for so long and it is like HELL! Always painful when carrying my son. When I am having flu can hardly sleep well on the side.

So what did they do there? They gave me the acupuncture on my pain points which is whole back part of my body. Although I didn't have the eyes to see it from behind, I am pretty sure that they have quite a few needles on me. I have to be even electrocuted on my spine like a massage on my spine. The hit the very spot and after that I feel a bit better. I can't say that almost heal but at least the pain is relived by 90%. Hey ... they don't make miracle hor ... it takes time to heal.

Har ... not forgetting their specialty, TUI NA. I know a few places also do this but I like it better with this place. If you don't know what is tui na, well it just helps to clear up all the clog blood in your body. Here is a clear explaination of Tui Na effect by Eu Yan Sang. I feel so energized now but I don't mean I still got a lot of strength left in me. I just meant that the body is loose.

Still they also have this technique where they stretch your body until you hear a 'crack' sound from your body. Of course it is not crack lah but just that 'Loosen' the tighten bones within you. I find this very good stress reliver too. Last time the Master can even do the head too. However, be careful coz not everybody can be the Master at doing the head technique coz it might hurt you and coz death instantly; that is if you see those kung fu show where they twist the neck of the enemy for instant death.

Grandma lost her memory

I recently received a e-mail from my Uncle in Australia and am sad that to hear that my Grandma is not going to last till end of the year. As much as I like her to hang on but I hate having to watch her suffer at old age. I too have this idea that when I grow old, I too don't want to stay in this world too long to suffer more then I have to. So I pray that God will have mercy on me when I grow old. Sometimes when I hear others saying about some old guy die suddenly without pain, I start to envy them coz not everybody can choose to die without pain during old age. Perhaps it is a gift... perhaps they have done good and God is repaying them for their good deeds.

The night before I keep trying to find the number to call my Grandma. My son is giving me HELL coz he wants attention and I want to look for the phone number where I kept. Argh.... I have memory laspe these days and it seem to be getting worst. I remember I kept it but not sure where... I was aggitated and again I lost my temper. Usual coming from me. After quite a while I finally found it. This morning I called her. I told her who I was and mentioned moms name but she can only ask 'who are you again' repeatedly and say 'I don't know you'. I feel so SADDENED by this but know little I can do to help her in any way. What I can only do right now is to get her to listen and try to ease her depression.

& who says that life begins at 40? If you can't find a job, life is coming to a stop then begin. These days even with experience and certification don't mean that you can still find a job when crisis hits. Age is a HUGE factor in times like this. Potential employers are playing the game smart by employing younger ones and lack experience as they are able to train them. Main factor, they come cheap. Why do potential employers dare not put "No age over 40s need apply"word in their hiring advertisements? They are afraid it may come back to haunt them as discrimination and that is what our government esp Ministory of Manpower (MOM) encourage not to do. Government have been stressing and encourage potential employers to hire people after 40 as they may be of great value to their company as they hold years of experience but so what? It is all up the potential employers weather they want to or not. If potential employers don't wish to, can our government punish them for not? Not likely! So why would potential employers want to take that risk of hiring people at their 40s?

Reading this article I felt sorry for the person who have been wasting time going through interviews after interviews in which has already written his fate. It only says one thing, be fearful for yourself that if you are not in your 40s now, you'd be like that when you reach 40s. So Government, how can we all retire at 62 years old now if we are currently facing HUGE problem in getting jobs already at 40 years old?

Chinese Ang Pow Paper Lantern

After thinking so long about doing this ang pow paper lantern, I finally get to it. Thanks to the cleaner Auntie from my office who showed me how to do it. I have searched many times on the internet for "how to do chinese ang pow paper lanter" but was unsucessful. Those which have the tutorial wasn't quite clear either or it is too complicated for a beginner like me to follow. I actually did this before the Chinese New Year this year but didn't quite found the time to upload it into my blog until today.

Rebond my Hair

My hair rebond have all gone since I did it last year. Why? I recently cut my hair short thus cutting all the remaining rebond.

This year didn't quite get to doing another new rebond coz I was doing the hair treatment and was adviced not to do rebond for the time being. However, after cutting my hair short, no more rebond, my hair becomes messy and awful with all the frizzy hair. Even my husband starts to complain that I look like Auntie. Hahhahha..... so no choice, next pay day go to do rebond.

Short hair rebond is also about the same price 100 plus but a bit cheaper though. It ends up that short hair rebond time slightly faster. I am done in 1 1/2 hour. Phew to that! Now my hairs looks much better.

Weird but very SAD Dream

I am one who always belief that dreams have its own interpretation. Sometimes when I go into deep sleep, I would always dream about something as if it were so real.

Yesterday evening, I seem to be channeling someone's sorrow. It was really very sad as I keep crying and stop and then later I cry again. I seem to be crying the whole night and when I wake up, my head seem to be on the heavy side. I don't recall the actual dream and what happened but I felt that the sorrowful cry wasn't me. I felt that I was somehow channeling someone's sorrow. Who? I don't really know. I have never encountered this before and was wondering was it due to the swaroski crystal I was wearing yesterday that have absorbed some energy in which have channel it into me? That I really do not know but only can suspect.

10th Treatment @ Yun Nam

Ok.. this is the last treatment. It sure has improve alot and all is not wasted! So my next five treatments will be once a month. This will be a good time for my pocket money to try to recover for my this expense ;)

Resting Day Tomorrow - Fun Day

School holidays now! As usual school holidays I would take leave to spent some quality time with my children.

This time plan to go Zoo and Sentosa. My husband have the corporate Zoo tickets and Sentosa has promotion going on. So bring my two kids to enjoy and also save money. Especially, the Sentosa trip, pay for two adults entry to some of the places and the two kids get to enter for free. I am aiming for the Underwater trip as that is especially the expensive one and also a main attraction in Sentosa.

I like the Luge Ride although I must say that the equipment wasn't in very good condition though as several times I can't get it to move or was it becoz I and my girl sit together too heavy? Hahhhaaa... We took the ride all the way down to another area. I wasn't sure how to walk back up so I took the skyride. I didn't want to take the skyride at first coz it is scary.

After finished with the luge ride we ended up in another area which I am not sure where it is. The ticket we bought for the luge ride included the skyride. Was it Phew? DAMN! It was HIGH ! I took it sky ride with my girl and we were both very scared when it move up even higher. It was like 20 storey building .. I think.. I didn't care to look coz I closed my eyes and so did my girl. It was a mistake to take this but we haven't a choice as I don't know how to go back up.

As for the zoo trip, we visit quite a few animals. We didn't quite get to take the boat trip as it was raining heavily with thunder and the boat trip was suspended. We didn't even take the tram as my husband say we couldn't see anything coz the cover from the rain. I also didn't rent the
TINY XPLORER which I thought I can put my son in and drag him while we go from station. It cost $15.00. Lucky I didn't coz it rained and if I did, I have to drag it back. Phew!

Lunch over, my girl hit to the SPLASH pool and knock herself out WET! My son dare not coz so many kids there. So he landed up playing the slide in the playground near the splash pool. Then Thunder came and we all have to clear the area.

My company have announced last month 25 Feb 09 that there will be a pay cut from Mar 09. I haven't quite added the entry here. So you can see that budget is even tighter then ever. The bright side is that at least I still have a job so can't complain. Besides, the percentage of cut isn't that of a great yet as compared to across other regions.

So... heard that more news will come in Jun 09. What news? May be further reduction again may be retrenchment ... don't really know yet and everything is vague right now. However, take each day as it is.. with a job. Let the good or bad news come later.

X-company comparison

I noticed even I sometimes do it but don't seem to be healthy.

So this jerk have this problem too! He likes to do comparison too, to his x-company and he is a manager somemore. It just leaves impression that since you treasure your x-company so much why are you still here? Go back to your x-company lah since so good!

I came to realize that it is not good to do that as it just makes you so grown attached to the x-company in which you are telling people you can't let go. Just this year not long, I have let go my x-company image in my head and moved on to where I am now. No doubt it is much better then having to cling on to the past.

A jerk manager by the name Desm

Ok... he is a Anti - Singapore Air Force (SAF). He criticize how rigid SAF is and how stupid their procedures is. This wasn't the first time he have critized. The last time he mentioned how his friends from SAF is blah blah blah.... nothing good came out of his mouth but saying how no initiative they have and as if he have plenty in him. So I did tell him off one time.

Today, a colleague mentioned that he have a better form then the one I have created and how the form in which I created and I quote "is so SAF". So much for a Singapore Citizen. It is people like him we call traitor. See when there is war in Singapore. He will not be the first to fight for his country but to bail. & did I mentioned that I was once an SAF, comment like this really pissed me off as it is directed at me. I cried after that coz I was so overwhelmed by his idiotic comments. Anyway, lucky my boss didn't agree to change and little did he know that most of the information in the form was given by my boss. I just add the in betweens like the company logo. Joke on him! Not only that, he can't even locate the file.

Sigh and someone told me that we are family. People like him, I'd rather not call him as a family as he is RUDE and family don't hurt one another. Anyway, he is a joke!

Again another stupid Taxi Driver on the road!

My story goes like that.

I went to visit a colleague at SGH yesterday and after the visit, I thought that taking a taxi would get me home faster. However, I end up frastred with the taxi driver. What happend was I hop on the taxi and told him where I am heading. He told me that taking the AYE to clementi is the shortest way. So I said ok. I know that at that time is heavy traffic becoz it was off office hours everyone trying to get home too. When the taxi was approaching AYE, I noticed the EMS system indicates massive jam but the taxi driver still took that instead of suggesting to change the route instead. I told him massive jam (hinting him) and he can only tell me "yeah.. it is like that... peak hours." Ok ... then the jam starts to get longer and the meter keeps running instead of changing lanes to keep moving and get me to my destination, he tail gates the slow lane. This continue quite awhile. We passed the Upper Bukit Timah exit and again I thought he would exit and take another route. Still, he continue with the jam and the meter continue to run up. On several occassion I want to get down in the expressway and also tell him to go Upper Bukit Timah road and drop me at the nearest MRT. But I continue with the journey and BKE came up. Finally, he took the BKE but now the meter also up to 20 bucks ++ not including the 35% peak hour charges yet. I was so pissed! I wanted to call the taxi company and complain. I know that the taxi company won't do anything much for me as this seems to the "Service" of Singapore these days.

This taxi driver took me for an idiot for not knowing the road. For those who are going to take taxi, better know the road and show the taxi driver where to go and don't let the taxi string your nose and trick you into running the meter up so that you pay for the fare so that he can knock off early for the day.

Recycle Centre

I am a huge support of sending items to recycle centre to recycle!

There is this service here that comes to block houses to collect recycle items which include old clothes and etc. They will provide you a green plastic bag. They even have schedule that comes to the block to collect the stuff. I have been donating old clothes of mine and my babies clothes to them for quite sometime. However, last weekend when it was their schedule to come to my area where I stay to pick up recycle items, I was pissed off! What happened was that I did ask them if they collect shoes and they replied saying that they do. So I placed all the baby shoes which are still wearable inside the green plastic bag together with the old clothes and have it placed outside my house for their contractor to collect. Little did I know that later my husband out of the blue mentioned to me that he saw some baby shoes at the stairway and was wondering who threw it there. I don't know if it were their contractor who threw there but it were, I hope this people will be punished by God for choosing stuff to recycle. They should have check the stuff and return back to me instead of toss it away. What a waste. This is the last time ever I am going give them stuff. I'd rather get my husband drive to YMCA and donate to them. Disappointed with them! For this reason, I would rather do donation to overseas as I know they would appreciate it more then Singaporeans does.

Health Package

Took the Prime Time Health Package to do a routing health check today. It takes place in Polyclinic. Reason why I chose to go there is becoz, it sounds more logical. Times are bad now and if there are any abnormaility, they can refer you to the hospital. Trust me when I say you save a lot if Polyclinic refer you then the GP or private clinic does. So better to head there instead.

"Prime Time" a good naming convention for a health package but it sure does sound like I am old in my 60s. Hhahhaa...

Drawing of blood. Collect my urine and stools (did that last night and store in a container and bring it over to the Polyclinic. Gave them what came out as I wasn't sure how much they need though they say only teaspoon full. There are so many sizes of teaspoond so how much is it?) Answer a few questions but look like tons of it. Measure your weight, height, and also check eyesight. What I most like is that they include the retina photography. This is to check for any Cataract in your eye. I added the Thyriod test as I was once tested positive during my second child birth. I must add that the Dr. is not a local and he doesn't seem to be your friendly doctor. I joke about not having exercise when he ask me if I did. He's like so stone! Never the less, he did listen to what I have to say about my health problems. For that I can't complain. Besides, we "Singaporean" these days are too picky about jobs. So ... 2 weeks later go back to see the result.

Why is Friday 13 unlucky?

Today's Class 95.o radio question was "Why is Friday 13 unlucky?" The Dj says to do a Google search on this. Got a few results but what was interesting was I stumble on this article which wasn't quite related to the question above.

Unexpected Access

I am not a big fan of actress Wong Li Lin. However, after the above show aired last night on Channel 5 at 10pm, I really admire (not as in crazy admiration) for her courage to do this. It is not easy having to face dead people and not forgetting the smell too. Tolerating the smell is the worst thing besides having to look at the person who is going to clear the intestines and other organs of the dead and prepare the dead body ready for the wake.

At the end of the show, you would also admire those people who does this everyday as a career. If weren't for them, the dead people have no one to rely on after death to clear up the mess they left behind and having to look good too before they are sent for burial. For this show, I SALUTE to these people who help the dead. It is a creepy and smelly task but yet they chose to do it. Not forgetting the co-ordinator in this show too who does all the co-ordinating with gasket and all after stuff to ensure the wake is set up properly regardless of what the dead's religion is and give the Next of Kin's best advice he could.

Lost of Faith?

I thought I have lost my faith in God since the incident of unfairness and never seem to be into anything about praying. However, lately I have gotten back to my prayers. So what happen?

So I get back to praying my rosary.. and soon enough I have been having streak of good luck. I got free rides out of the island early lately. Getting out from Jurong Island on a free ride means so much to me. I get to reach home early and rest and have fun with my son and watch over my girl's homework.

My guess is that God have known about what have happened and came to my aid.

The usual .. nothing much to add. Caught some few white hairs but it seems they say that the hair is absorbing the medicine and partial of the white hair is turning black. Never heard of that before.. white can turn black... Hmmmm.... must search in internet how true is that!

Budget Tight next few months

With all the spending lately, my budget is going to be tightened for the next few months. I know that having a credit card of my own is gonna give me this kind of problems but I still have control over it yet and until I do not have a job, I would chop the credit card off for good as I already achieve what I need and that is good enough for me.

When reviews for April on how the company is doing reaches, I am going to save... save.. and spend less... April time is critical. If company not doing well, I might not have a job then. I am not really worried but looking at the positive side as much as possible. If I do not have this job then, I can finally take a good break to look after my kids for good now and finally get out of Jurong Island. Hhahhahha...

5th Treatment @ Yun Nam

Ok... the 5th treatment and I am half way to the ten treatments I have signed up for. So ... is there any improvement? We shall see tonight.

Came home from my treatment tonight and the results is good. She showed me new hairs have pop out like new dou miao (small bean stalk or similar to baby hair, fine ones standing up). I noticed that the patch is some what getting closer in patching up but still needs improvement though. Very happy with the results. However, as usual when your package is coming to an almost ending, they will sure try to psycho you to continue saying "you seen it for yourself"clause and how it works.. so you need more to improve speech. Yeah so she gave me this speech but she is good enough to give me at great discount to sign up for another 10 treatments in which I only come once a month. Tempting offer really! However, as economy get worst, I don't feel like to commit as I don't know if I will still have a job. Besides, I haven't quite recover the cost for spending the first 10 treatments. So I told her that another 10 treatments is tempting offer but I can't commit due to economy blah blah .... then she continue to explain that if I maintain it myself I still have to buy different products to make sure that growth of hair continue to grow which comes out about the price of 5 treatments. I know .. I know... it may sound like a gimmick but I think it is worth it then another 10 treatments. Besides, the product in which I have to get to maintain myself is about the 5 treatment of the price, I might as well get the 5 treatment.

Retrenchment Stats

My x-company have axe people. Phew! Lucky, I ran fast if not I would be axe too becoz I am under contract. Somehow I knew it is going to happen. Sigh.. look at the stats below.. not sure how long this will last and fear within in me if it is going to happen to me too even company is doing alright. There is no more security in jobs

Borders Book Store @ Singapore Orchard Branch

Yesterday I was on leave and went to Borders. I have been to Borders @ Orchard a few times but of the few times, I have never bought anything from there. As I had a gift card with me, I thought I could get some good books I have in mind. So ... I list it out and there were roughly about at least six of them I would like to get. However, out of the six, I only found 1 book. That is so sad :(! Borders are filled with many books but there isn't much interesting book I want they have it. I spent several hours not reading a book but finding one to use my card. Sigh ... the books isn't cheap and would like to spend the gift card wisely. No matter, I finally did find books to use the gift card. Whew! & it took me 1 1/2 hours to do that!

Another feedback about Borders. The manager there wasn't polite nor friendly. Two times I encountered the same manager and two times she never did serve me with a smile. Arrogant manager! First was that I ask her to open the shelve. She gave me a kind of look! & why is she holding the keys? She could have given the key to her staff to do it but she do it herself and it is not like the locked shelve have $100.00 crystals in it. Oh yeah, I approached her staff first and her staff look for her. Second time I encountered her bad attitude was that I was paying for my books. Then she got a phone came in. Guess what.. she picked it up! Wow... a manager don't know how to serve customer is really comes to as a suprise! When she pick up the phone she acted like a B I T C H... wow what an impression! Still, when I told her the book was a bit torn and asked she have a new one. She answered without politeness nor a smile nor a applogetic way that all the stock are on the shelves. I feel so sad for Borders that they have hired a unfriendly manager who have no customer oriented service. They need to send her to the Certified Service Professional (CSP) Programme by WDA because she is so NOT PROFESSIONAL!

10 years colleague

Yesterday my left eyebrows was twitching. Believe or not when this happens, it means that I am bound to bump into someone I know somewhere soon.

So it happened today! Today there was a delivery to the lab and the delivery boy came by my desk to pass me the DO and Invoice. Guess what? He say I look familar and mentioned the place I used to work in before which was 10 over years ago. I ask for his name as I wasn't sure who he was; my memory ain't that of a good ;). Not bad, I say! You still can remember me! I left the job 10 over years and he still can recognize my old face now. Hahhahha... what are the odds of that! Things like this never happen to me! But anyway, I suddenly have that good feeling of being remembered; I think!

ezLink Card

The new ezlink card is out on 29 Dec 2008, don't be too kan cheong to change it as the system have not been fully implemented yet. Many have wrote in to Today newspaper to complain that they can't top-up their card at the machine. Not all system have been updated to accept this new card thus you have to join the long que to have your card top up.

Eclipses

There was an eclipse on the first day of Chinese New Year. A brief one! So brief that I didn't even see it at all. Some people say yes it did occur but didn't seem to, to me. Not in total darkness.

So my hunt for research on eclipse. How frequent it is? I seem to be having amnesia and it seems that eclipses seems to me that it is occuring more frequent then it used to. I used to understand the eclipse only turns up once in a blue moon. So what is the answer?

Ghost Whisper Fan

This year I seem to be attracted to Ghost Whisper the serial show with Jennifer Love Hewitt. She ain't my favorite actress as so to speak and neither is David Conrad. Some how watching the show gives so much warmth to it. Although I must add that this show is so much of the sex and sexy scene especially Jennifer Love Hewitt's outfit is always showing her HUGE asset. I know you have BIG BooBs but do you have to show it every scene? It just makes the show so sexist. I love most about their love relationship as husband and wife. David Conrad is so understanding in this show and I do love him. Sometimes I wish he is my husband. He is like a perfect husband. A dream husband everybody love to have but can't have. Too good to be true either! Hahhahha... None the less.. he does a good job in this role. Jennifer Love Hewitt.. F U N N Y at times and can be annoying with her persistence in the show. She get so caught up with helping spirits cross over that she always puts David Conrad in second place and he do understand and give into her so much. Jennifer is doing good deed to help spirit cross over so that they will find peace and for that I take my hat of her.
