Fortune for Yr 2010

Every year they have this fortune for each category eg. career, wealth, health for the twelve cycles of animals. So I read my fortune for this year like every other year. This year, it says that for my animal, career wise, it advices not to change job coz no wise to do so. For health, need to take more supplements, more exercise (does that mean I need to continue with Amore exercises, need to decide that in Jul) and watch out for my health zone. I have benefactor star with me eg seniors for advice and the illness star is sticking with me this year. So it means I need Feng Shui cure. Although I look forward to death but I'd rather choose to die in sleep then suffer with further pain.

Clay Cove

Ok.. like I say.. this year is about training! I seem to be itching again for courses to take up. I got one through company but seem that isn't enough to satisfied my desire to upgrade myself in some way or another. I seem to have the idea of venturing in the creative stream this year.

So .. was suddenly interested in the arts like pottery and clay. So did some research and "Clay Cove" came out in my several research results. Not forgetting another one Seni Kraf, also responded to my e-mail to my enquiry about clay. Both responded to my e-mail unlike some other company who may be business too good to answer my e-mail enquires. This is what I like about businesses.. they need to respond to e-mails otherwise don't shouldn't have business e-mails.

Clay Cove have this two part course called the Create & Paint a Clay Gift meant for adults. I started the class today and found it to be interesting. Tough? Not really! They do not have the throwing technique like other pottery courses comes with it but that does not bother me coz I only am interested in the basic.

Still, they don't use water to smooth out the clay which I find it a bit hard coz it is harder to smooth out when the clay is starting to dry up and crack up. The other part about how I find this course is, it comes with limitations of projects you can do. None the less, I found one that makes it interesting for me to even enjoy it.

It would be great though if they allow the creativity to the customer but then this wouldn't be a beginner class, now would it? Another thing which bugs me, why if I come a second time to buy the material and use their furnace it still cost me the same price? I don't actually need to instructor's help if I already know the basic method. Shouldn't it be slight cheaper? Never the less, it was interesting to know a place like this exist and many children are picking the skill of pottery. Long live to Craft like this! I like the place too coz it's at a shopping mall; comfortable and convenient. Last, they have flexibility! They even accomodate to my required time slot. My review is Clay Clove ROCKS!

Amore Cupping Theraphy Menu

Today I tried the cupping theraphy from the ala carte menu. Was disappointed with the kind of price of $88.00 and there wasn't any fire to it :(. Totally not value of money. Never mind will never try this with them again.

Foot reflexlogy... quite ok. At least this is new that doing foot reflex lying down instead of sitting up. Relaxing!

Bonsai finally Germinating

I recently have a flare for bonsai. Don't ask me why but suddenly became interested or curious about growing it. I have been into plants lately. I bought some bonsai seeds from a vendor and started germinating in since Nov. I kept on checking it see if it have germinated. Without any clue or knowledge about bonsai, I was willing to give it a try and also read up some knowledge about it and taking care of it.

Well, my wait wasn't in vain. Today I check the packet in which I have placed into the zip log bag since November and see that it have growth coming out. I am so happy finally it germinated :)!

Another colleague diagnose with Cancer

Just today my colleague came back to work after some time of medical and was sad to learn from him after his follow up for his surgery on the throat, it is cancerous. The suprising part is it is Nose Cancer! I like har! Didn't you went surgery on your throat how come it ended up in your nose? It is really sad to hear news like this from a friend. What you can say at time like this is very sensitive to the person. NO JOKES PLEASE! I comfort him and tell him to be strong no matter what it is.

MayBank Credit Card Finally

YIPPY! I finally got the MayBank Credit Card! BIG HOORAY! I tried applying for the third time already and BAM finally got it. I was so happy to receive it in the mail today when I open my mail box. I wasn't expecting that it would approve anyway I still go ahead and try ... if this time I used my bonus payslip to send it to convince MayBank I do meet their requirement and they still reject me, I GIVE UP! Ha and it works! Finally I can enjoy the many benefits MayBank have to offer. Will see if this credit card is really that worth it for my persistence!

Training Opportunity

I found a good training workshop over the internet. The last time I saw this, I have already past the workshop date but this time it was way ahead of time. So I download the brochure and was hoping that since my boss not sending me to any external training then I go find one myself. I grew tired of watching others get to attend other training, getting certifications, attending workshop while I sit here and just watch. So I decided this year to do otherwise; HELP MYSELF & Grab the opportunity. I suspect that the results come back may not be good but then I still insist on testing it. One never know unless you try! At most is cannot then cannot lor.

So the few days later, I happen to go into my boss room to get some chairs and she mentioned that out of the blue that she has not forgotten about my training plans. She is checking with HR... I say ok with gladness and appreciation that she did come through for me after all. However, I a bit concern if it will come through again coz the HR person... she always try to spoil it for me.

My boss replied, something similar to...from SIM.. though not as good as the one I picked but it is good enough ... I would be stupid to reject it and have it later bite back on my face. Thus, I accepted it!

Bad Criticism or just plain Jealousy?

I took two Chinese Ang Pow made Lantern to be hanged in the office to give the office the Chinese New Year mood. However, my kindness was not appreciated :( I guess I expected that too! Anyway, I don't really care. If he could do better then why aren't you doing anything better then me? You are just jealous that you didn't think of it. What a JERK for commenting that. No matter... would not allow this to get to me. At most, I just remove and put it downstairs here lor.

What made me angry is that the Cleaner Auntie sing the same song too :(... but can't blame her coz she is always like that.

Event

Today an event going on at the company again. Again I was praised by my boss that she is happy that everyone is happy with the event. So called that the event is fruitful and smooth; nothing went wrong. I was thinking in my mind OK... don't I always come through... anyhow, I just gave a reply ýeah and smile :).

Ok.. interesting part about how a particular boss say hiring **** is better then Singaporean and will end up slapping her own face. What happen was she was late for the lunch for the event and her team didn't even leave food for her. I can let it be and leave her with no lunch so that she will wake up and know what kind of people work with her but it is not be to do this. So I went to tell her assistant and told him if he can please leave some food for his boss and was surprise to learn that they leave food for someone else who did not participate in the event and not for his boss. That is so sad!

Finally, I managed to pass through this event with a struggle as I was about to fall sick, I try to pull myself through until this event have pass through.

New Dryer

After 7 years of washing clothes and hanging dry, I finally can have a dryer to dry all the clothes. You can say I quit having to hang the clothes up as it is so time consuming.

I was planning to have a dryer that runs on gas but somehow changed of plans when the service level of the dryer SUCKS big time! We landed on a electric dryer instead. Besides, it is currently on offer. We settled of Bosch. Bosch is a well known brand and can say .. to be trusted brand.. besides it not all that expensive... however have yet to see if it really is energy saving dryer like it tested to be.

None the less, I got my dryer today and tested it. Its GREAT!

Ambitions

When I was a child... my ambition was to be an Engineer, a Doctor , or even perhaps a Teacher \.

When I grow up further, my ambition to be a Teacher grows with it.

But when I passed out from High School, my dream to be a Teacher has gone kaput... still I hang on to this dream ... and I gone into the Accounting line just like my Dad

Later... I met my husband who was posted to overseas and I got my overseas degree... again my ambition changed to becoming a Network Engineer or even perhaps even a Programmer.

Again, when I return back to Singapore.. things changed so much that I never got to fulfil that dream either coz of sacrifices I planned to make in life changed this dream to be.

Now.... my line have turn to Admin. Using the degree I have, although wasn't the same degree in this line.. I am going somewhere at least. Not a dream job but at least a good job in which I am satisfied with. Thus, I am settling with this dream... reason being ..

Its just a dream and when dreams don't come through...
perhaps its trying to tell you that its time to let that dream go!

No more want to be Teacher coz MOE don't want me
No more want to be Network Engineer nor Programmer coz no one hires without experiences
