Who is the xxxx to suggest this even! Are they NUTS! Not say we have to be humane but if we are then where is the point of having maids? Then the issue will be turn around if maids were to get pregnant. We employers will be turn to maid instead. I agree with the article. This is totally outrageous! Is it because the low birth rate that is why we are even thinking about to do this? Are we so desperate until we must resort to this?

What makes an ideal Man to have for life?



Everyone have different preferences when on a hunt for the RIGHT MAN! However, some man can actually tell you that he may not be the ONE you can rely on for life that is for sure !


So how can you tell?


One who is drives a big car and he is still SINGLE!


This tells you he got no where to spent his money so he spent it on his car. You bet that he will not spend much on his girlfriend coz he is only out to impress people with his big beautiful car and he may even spent his time taking of his car then his girlfriend. Then if do spend money on his girlfriend, when you reach the buy house stage, he'd be dead broke then.


Then if he drives an affordable not expensive type of car


This guy tells you that he treasure money and practical. Buy an affordable car and save the rest of his money for something bigger and more practical. This type of man can consider! On the other hand, you have to investigate to see if he is stingy ... this can't tell you how ;)



One who sweet talks you. Tells you what you want to hear.



This may sound dreamy especially you hear what you want to hear and you are on cloud 9. Something sweet all the time! However, this isn't real! WAKE UP! If this guy tells you what you want to hear all the time, you must be pretty careful coz potential that he will LIE and LIE to you. You may not be the only girlfriend he have!


One who keeps talking about himself


This one you better keep him off of you! This type of man is self-centered and never can rely on. Going dating is no adventure and can be such a bore that you don't feel like going out. Everything have to be just about HIM!

Still, there is those that are the only child in the family.

This you have to be really careful! The only child in the family may sometimes not be a good thing. Get to really know his family as especially his mom. He may be one of those who is pampered! Needless to say anything more if he really is pampered as if you pick him, be prepared to have many and several disagreements.

Not forgetting the "Man Thing"! They all want one thing from a woman!

Needless to spell it out. If you know this guy for only so little time and he wants to bring you to somewhere or home when no one is at his home now, then be very careful! This can only mean the "S"word! Dump him fast! He isn't really serious about you.

Most important, a good man must have sufficient cash in his bank to take care of you if you choose marry him. Still not forgetting that he must be able to help to do the housework and cook too. Of course the cooking must be edible hor if not it doesn't count! However, these are only my opinions. You may have your share!

Always love Forget Me Nots! It is so beaultiful! Looks wild yet nice in purple color and especially when they are dried up. I like them to be placed on my desk for many years to come to cheer me up.

SUN FLOWER



This one always brings joy to you and that is why it is called Sun Flower. Cheery Flower! However, this flower doesn't last long. After sometime it just dies off and the petals drop. Can't dry this flower at all to keep.

TULIPS



Another one of my favorites. However, tulips looks better in a field with the different bright colors. Just want to make to lie together with them to sleep.

Lilies



There are a few kinds of Lilies. But I particularly like this type above. Why? They are so pure in nature.

So can someone send some flowers to cheer me up? I need some flowers badly to cheer me up! Haven't been receiving flowers God knows when! I am thinking of some Forget Me Nots would be NICE on my desk!

Romantic?

What defines Romantic?


According to the dictionary's definition of Romantic includes


Characterized by strangeness or variety; suggestive of adventure; suited to romance; wild; picturesque; -- applied to scenery; as, a romantic landscape.

Entertaining ideas and expectations suited to a romance; as, a romantic person; a romantic mind.


My definition of romantic ideas includes the below:


1. Having slow walk on the beach with the wind blow your face, and gazing I called that romantic!

2. Having candle light dinners at some restaurant with a beautiful environment, and peaceful is romantic.

3. Riding on a bike behind your love one and travelling on the long road of expressway, that is romantic.

4. Travelling on a yacht and drinking wine, with both of you alone, that is romantic.

5. Receiving flowers surprisingly, that is also romantic.

6. Long Kisses under a missile toe is also romantic.

7. Having first kiss with someone you love is romantic.

8. Having someone play a song for you on a piano to serenade you, that is funny and silly but romantic too.

What happen to the KEEP LEFT sign at MRTs escalators?

Some people really don't understand that there are other people like me chasing for bus and MRTs during peak hours. If you can't walk fast, please KEEP LEFT! Give way to those who are in a rush. STOP Hogging the path to yourself. Then there are also others who like to walk in the center. He can't walk fast but also don't allow others to over take him. SELFISH JERK!

Year 2008 Resolution - Ending

Year 2008 is coming to an end in 3 months time. This also says that my contract here for 6 months with this company also closing in - YIPPY. I have been thinking about what my year 2009 going to be. Keep a look out for it! Still, thinking hard about what I want for a new year.

Well, this year wasn't really a good year for me especially for things to run well. Anyway, that is life, never perfect!

Year 2008 Resolution which I had made includes below
1. Earn lots of money
2. Get a good job that is no longer contract
3. Get my own credit card

Ok.. so far item 1 has come through. The money is rolling and I manage after 5 years of hardwork to finally push up my salary scale to the figure I once close to having. This is good.

Downside, item 2 and item 3 didn't really come through :((! I wish I can have control but don't have.

Item 2 why it didn't came through was due to crazy environment and people I work with in the first half of the year. Second half of the year, I was soft and got tricked into a contract which I really do not want but some how still took it due to salary was good. However, on second thoughts I have to sacrifice all the time into travelling on the road which is again :((!

Item 3 why it didn't also came through was due to stupid banks for their stupid way of evaluation. Some chuck you with credit cards that don't offer you much great deal even you don't meet their so called "minimum credit card earnings". So even now I earning the requirement, I still don't get my own credit card. Ok forget it then! I gave you a chance .. and you so BLEW IT!

Bras

One thing about bras is finding the right one that fits you comfortably. With all the different types of bras and brands available today, people have so many choices. Some push up bras that have padding like so unreal. Some are cheap and some are expensive. You pay for what you get. Pay more get better quality and nicer ones. Some have their cups so hard when you put it on, it looks so unreal and pointy. It makes it look awful under the shirt.

I have been looking for a strapless bra for quite sometime. I used to have this nice strapless bra that is like the olden days corset where girls bind themselves to show their shape. Like girls in texas olden days. But can't wear that anymore.

Finally found one by the brand called La Senza. They have a special strapless bra that can done in hundred ways. In addition, they have a store in Singapore. Was so happy that I went down to their store at Plaza Singapura and hoping to get it no matter at what price. However, it was out season so they shipped it back to their warehouse which is out of Singapore. Booo Hooo.... guess I have to buy from overseas. Sigh... just hate it when it happens. What to do!

On Training

Today went for training sent by company. Compulsary! Not something I want to attend nor does it benefit me very much. It is Oil Petroleum Course! So guess if I want to continue to work there, have to take the course. No choice.

After taking so many test in life, this seems to come as a phobia. Anxiety Attack is what I called it! Want to get over with it. Like attending the course is not bad enough and I have to take test! Then there is the "I don't know how hard is the test going to be!" and the " I don't know if I will pass the test!" and also " Do I have to re-take if I fail it?" Stress Boy!

First they give out the sheet where you shade the answers. Damn! It have our name writtten on it. Like DUH! We know our name and can't we just write our name on it instead and having to print the bar code and all. Arghhhh.... have to wait until my name is called. ANXIETY ANXIETY

The instructor giving out the test paper is PISSING me off! Can you please do your sorting at your office instead of doing it here? I am trying to get rid of the anxiety attack and you are so not helping! Stop That! Ok... finally he give out the question paper. As I read the test questions and trying to think the correct answer... I am trembled with fear and lots of it... Told you I have not been taking tests for almost 7 years back. Argh.... check answer check answer after finish... the worst is when everybody passing up... still have people left not done yet ... but still it make me more nervous ...

After an hour later, came back with results. Thank GOD ! I pass... here is your card. And it says, I have to re-new this after 3 years. DAMN!

Ok... still I am happy coz the course ended early... so call for a cab and head back home so not to waste any more time. Time of essence!

Lantern Festival Day

Today is Lantern Festival Day!

We celebrate it like any other year, with Father-in-law at his house. Every years the same, we would have a pamelo, lanterns and different kinds of moon cake to eat and not forgetting chinese tea to digest too!

Everything is the same as always. Eat eat and comment moon cake which one best. Children have fun with the lighting up lanterns. However, this year the night rained and hardly any children went downstairs to play with their lantern. So we didn't do that either. This year brother-in-law is funny again. He clip the lantern with a plastic cloth clip and guess what happen? The plastic clip melted coz the heat from the candle inside lantern melted it. Hahhahhaa.

My Life Organization Chart

As it looks like in the organization chart, I report to my boss and my husband. End of the day my children report to me!

Pissed at the Service Level - IT

Poor IT Service Level leh!

My company blocks so many things except for work being arrowed which I find a bit annoying. I highlighted yesterday that I couldn't download pictures from the digital camera. This is not personal pictures but requested by my boss to do so. You wonder as an admin, IT would have figure that this shouldn't be blocked but he didn't know. Ok ... alright... as long as he troubleshoot and revert back to me then no issue. I show him the problem then waited and waited and waited... never revert back as to what happen and he just left me hanging there. So, did he go check or do I have to go ask him? Lucky I already ask someone else help to download instead of waiting for him. This wasn't the first time I notice that he is unreliable. It may not be important to him but this is required by my boss. So, if I am a the stupid type who will sit there and wait for him to reply, then I would be SO FIRED now! Lucky I am the type that knows how to ask for other people for help and lucky that there are people out in the company who are willing to help.

NO THANKS to Poor Service Level from you!

Then came another matter. Thumb Drives! Someone requested to purchase thumb drives and then come ask me. Then I question them back, "isn't this an IT problem" go approach the IT people for hardware? He tells me IT say I have to purchase ! What the HELL! Then what for we want IT for? Can't even help!

Mystery Guest - LEFT?

Event finally over TODAY!

So went to the Guard House to see if there were pass left over for me to collect. Then I overheard this guest of ours who was holding the pass left early but he didn't leave his pass behind at the Guard House. So start to hunt him down to see that this "rumor" about him saying bye bye the day before was true. Called the Hotel and check and manage to find out he have checked out early. Ok ..win already lor!

Thank you Emilda who is from Royal Plaza Hotel on Scotts for her good customer service for helping me to find all ways to check if our naughty guest have checked out already ! This is the kind of Service Level in which most of Singapore places should have but unfortunately we don't see this kind of Service Level around very much! Thanks again!

So try to call his handphone can't get through coz he may still be in the flight. Engage tone. At least I try call and call and see if can get lucky mah! Like buy TOTO also must try and try and see can win mah! So my phone log filled with all his handphone number. But I know when must give up! So, I drop him an e-mail in hope when he reach home, go read his e-mail. See if he reply as "Sorry I forgot and it is with me" ! That would really be really funny !

Nite Safari

Not sure if you consider this lucky or not. Yesterday I went to the Nite Safari and join the guest in the Nite Safri Gourmet Express sponsored by my company. Actually it is because we need to cover the difference in people who do not want to attend or put it this way confirmed number of pax attending but can't meet. So what I have to do is to get our own people to fill up the gap difference.


Reach there early with my boss to check out the place before the guest arrive. So my boss award me a drink for doing well for the event. The drink didn't cost much but at least I have a free drink ;)!


When the guest all arrived we started with the cocktail, good cocktail. First time! So after cocktail, we move towards the train and boarded the train and our journey begins. After the train starts, I suddenly have the urge to go to the toilet. DAMN! Old people like me always got this problem, want to go at the wrong time. Sigh ... DIE lah .. so I have to ask when is the next toilet break. Can't hold bladder... ai yo... so go ask sorry when is the next stop for toilet break infront of the guest. No Choice. Lucky ends up well, manage to reach there in time before I start to leak. Hahhaa. What a relief. During this comotion didn't quite get to enjoy my appitizer. Never mind as the main course is most important.

Get back to the tram and the main course starts to serve. I ordered Beef. It was SUPERB! Medium rare. Nice and juicy! As we have extras I called for a second helping Cod Fish and we share amogst four of us. Tasty Cod Fish too! It is cook just nice and not fishy at all but I can't say about the skin. You can really taste the fishy smell from the skin. Yum Yum... and as the train moves, I have my desert... another speciality. Yum Yum again. Finally, I ask for a glass of wine in which I didn't quite finish it coz alcohol was too strong.

The Nite Safri Express was a good experience indeed! We all enjoyed ourselves

3rd Day & 4th Day of Event

The 3rd day & 4th of Company event have gone by . Was too busy and tired from having to write the happenings.

3rd day was crazy as many things have to come in. Meals and Projector Screens and ensuring things going on smoothly and also having to assist them with some small task. I was mean to the Projector Screen supplier coz they were late. They assured me of prompt delivery the day before but last minutes change the drive also never inform me. This is Jurong Island and pass is required. You don't change anyone you like to enter to this Island coz without the pass you just can't enter. Because of this issue, they were half an hour late on their delivery. I was lucky the night before I pray to God and ask that things will not turn bad. Lucky I the guest have not arrived yet. AMEN to that! All else went well... so end of the day have to clear the place up.

4th day which is today, a bit of hic-cup one of the guest do not have her pass. Ok.. that is alright.. can call to find out what happen. So guess , my task for this event can almost call an end. Everything went well. AMEN to that!

Low Morale

Low Morale!

I should be happy that God have bless with good pay but I am not. I thought I should be happy here doing what I love doing too. However, I am also not. I really am lost for directions. I wanted so much to go upgrade myself but don't seem to find the right course for me. You might be thinking that there are so many courses how can no right course for me? I don't want to take a course for the sake of taking it and have not much use for it. Still, courses these days are so damn expensive so have to be careful how I spent the money as I have children to care for.

3 more months and there goes Year 2008! I am counting to that! My expectation for Year 2008 didn't quite come through for me except for one "Good Pay"! So have to think carefully for what I really want next Year 2009. I was having so much hope when I join the interior design company and thought would last long but somehow didn't. Then I end up some where far from home. Sigh ... is my life going to be like that forever? Filled with aggitation and sadness and no direction?

2nd Day of Event @ Company

Almost end of the day and I manage to survive! Thank God for that.. AMEN!

1st day was really crazy. Last minute my boss have to come to me and say this need to be done, that need to be done. Then there is the don't know when they are going to come down for the break. I have separate the break meals. TOTALLY C R A Z Y. No matter I manage to survive is what most important.

2nd day was much better. Went over to Hotel to ensure things run smoothly. Thank you to the people at Royal Plaza Hotel on Scotts for making it easy for me. I doubted their service at first coz there was a last minute change in point of contact and you know how is it when last minute the point of contact changes. MISCOMMUNICATION will sure to happen! Don't like that as people only have to say "Sorry"and I have let the matter go. It was easy for me today as I catch a ride from a manager who happen to stay near my block. Thanks handsome guy who look like Hong Kong actor Ma Zhe Dong.

So ... left with tomorrow and Thursday and I should be HOME FREE. And I did ask if there would be anymore events like this coming up to my the other manager(of course not the one I am reporting too lah - I must be crazy if I do that) . The answer is no! Thank God again.. AMEN! See praying does help. Hope no more events like this coz it ain't easy at all! I am practically the main co-ordinator and you can't make mistake or forget something. Although I did admit I was very close to forgetting certain things. Lucky God watch over me like he promised. Phew! I will be really GLAD that this is all over. I need to really re-consider this job!

Company Event - This Week

This week not a good week for me!

Company Event starting on Monday (tomorrow) and goes all the way to Friday. Actually, the difficult week is until Wednesday, the rest of the day should be closing up event. Well, I co-ordinate most of the stuff, like rentals of chairs and tables, hotel reservations, catering of food. Usually I shouldn't care much about the catering of food but this time is different, I calling outside food. So a bit kan cheong (up the wall in Hokkien) . I am keeping my finger real cross and praying to ensure this week goes on smooth for me. Not that I care about if my Boss don't see well in me as competent. I have no feeling as to what the Boss feels anymore! It is CONTRACT so don't expect anything much from them as the same encounter with Chartered. As long I feel I did my best is what I should be concern about. LORD, I pray that you will continue to watch over me even the road continues to be hard and difficult each time. I used to think doing this is easy but have second thoughts about it.

Leave Wasted - NO CAMPING

Today took leave to take my children to camping at Sembawang Park without overnight. Just want my children to have the thrill of setting up the tent (my husband would do that instead of the kids). The thrill part is them staying inside the tent to play.

However, after reaching Sembawang Park and my husband was half way through setting up the tent, a cleaner approach to tell us that there is no camping in the Park. If the ranger comes we will get summon. That is funny! We saw many people camping the last time - some time back since when the rule change. But we did notice that today although still school holiday and a weekday, there isn't anyone camping in the Park like usual. That is an unusal sign already. I just thought may be is weekday so no one. There goes our plan, dismantle the tent, pack and leave. So we thought head down to West Coast Park perhaps there can camp. Reach there after half an hour drive down. No one camping again! Then I notice this sign next to the toilet. It says "No Camping Allowed" I like har ! What happen? Is this due to the Mak Salamat that have cause all these to change? If it is, DAMN HIM! GO DIE LAH! So much trouble. No wonder people willing to come out money to catch him. He don't DIE we all be annoyed to death by all the inconvienence he have caused all of us!

So came home and wanted so much to find out is it true no camping at Parks now! Here is the result. YEAH! To certain park area. Read this! What the HELL... weekday camping still have to apply permit. ABSURD MAN! There better be a very good reason for doing this!

On leave tomorrow Boss

My boss is always busy to remember anything that isn't all that important. That is normal although her title is small but she is considered the director of the company.

So yesterday I went into her office to remind her that I would not be around tomorrow. Just in case she though I go MIA! Guess what she say, "so you on leave or MC?" Normally I wouldn't mind people saying that but the way she puts it like I on leave and MCs many times. Moreover, she is not Chinese, Indian, nor Malay. She is, lets say not LOCAL. Hey can't blame me hor. I am HUMAN! I have a LIFE and I also can break down one hor! Even ROBOT also will breakdown sometime.

So much for reminding her!

TTSH Appointment - Acute Sinustis

Got an appointment today at TTSH to check on the prolong sinus.


Finally, the outcome was Acute Sinustis. Lucky for me it ain't Chronic yet if not I would really have to go for a surgery


Appointment was at 11:00am and I was 2 mins late. Passed the referral letter to the counter to get a Q-number. Waited and waited and paced up and down for several times waiting for be called to say this is your Q-number. Was worried they misplaced the letter and I couldn't see the doctor. I was down to my very last anti-biotics so it is like HELL... DAMN you .. don't loose my referral letter! So waited and waited then I go ask the counter and she say they will call my name. Took 30 mins for them to call me. Why? I was sitting in the other corner of the room and the lady who called my name was at the end of the room. So it is like East and West. I heard someone call my name. Stand up.. then only hear once, no more. Ai yo and so soft call my name how can I hear? Later, she get someone with louder voice to call me.


Got my Q-number finally and then there is another wait again for the Doctor to call my number. Waited and waited... Hate Government Hospitals always give appointment and still have to wait like forever then your turn to see. Then my hubby say lets go take lunch first as he is pretty sure that after lunch come back, my number still not call yet. Guess as much! He was right! Come back from lunch, still wait for 30mins or so till my number is called. Lots of anger by then. But anyhow, after I seen the doctor, my anger no more. Why? Coz the doctor's room had this equipment that he checks his patient throughly. Besides, he seem to have a guest that observes him and he gives explaination to what he does each step. So that is why he takes up so much time to see the patient coz he busy checking them. So no need to angry lah!


Back to my case. So I had to sit in the chair and he spray some numbness medication into my nostril. It taste DAMN BITTER! How I know? Coz it flows through my throat. He inserted this thin tube that has a camera at the end of the tube which is feels a bit uncomfortables. Even after numbness I can still feel the camera tube inserted into my nose.


So after he inserted it in and took some picture, he go back to show and explain the images. So I have a crooked nose (kind of knew that myself but was suprise to confirm it by the doctor), as he explained and there is where the yellow phelgm are all clogged up there as it is a small passage way.Guess we have to do a washout, is what the doctor said.


Like I guess as much you would say that but what to do? It is better to pain one time then rest of the time. So was very scared when he did the washout for me and clench my hands tight onto the chair. He inserted a HUGE needle into my nose to fully numb the area in my nose that have to problem. Afterwhich he actually use a syringe to suck the pheglm out. Guess what, it is an inch of phelgm HUGE syringe somemore ( no aggeration here) I really see it myself. All that is stuck in my nose in that small passage.


I thought ok .. that is over but not yet there is more... Next he said, we have to do a washout. He say better open the window as it is going to smell. So he make me hold this plate to catch the water and use a syringe filled with water and pump the water through my nose. No kidding! My husband watch all the dirty phelgm flow out from my nose as he pump the water in and stop in between for me rest as I was breathing through my mouth and faster each time as I was scared to death. My heart was also pounding faster and faster each time I breathe harder and harder while he continue to pump water into my nose. Afterwhich is done, I see so much phelgm and dirt and even streaks of blood left on the plate. Not long after, I cough out a thick phelgm from my throat and it is not yellow! It is like bruise type greyish. YUCKS & WOW all at the same time! However, I feel so much better and can breathe better without ever having to smell the phelgm. Have to go back for a follow up in 8 days. Phew that is all over. Hopefully it never comes back again.

All of this took up 3/4 of my leave day gone! Next time take MC!
