ezLink Card

The new ezlink card is out on 29 Dec 2008, don't be too kan cheong to change it as the system have not been fully implemented yet. Many have wrote in to Today newspaper to complain that they can't top-up their card at the machine. Not all system have been updated to accept this new card thus you have to join the long que to have your card top up.

Read here in details as where and when would the system be implemented to avoid the aggitation of crowd.

Eclipses

There was an eclipse on the first day of Chinese New Year. A brief one! So brief that I didn't even see it at all. Some people say yes it did occur but didn't seem to, to me. Not in total darkness.

So my hunt for research on eclipse. How frequent it is? I seem to be having amnesia and it seems that eclipses seems to me that it is occuring more frequent then it used to. I used to understand the eclipse only turns up once in a blue moon. So what is the answer?

Ghost Whisper Fan

This year I seem to be attracted to Ghost Whisper the serial show with Jennifer Love Hewitt. She ain't my favorite actress as so to speak and neither is David Conrad. Some how watching the show gives so much warmth to it. Although I must add that this show is so much of the sex and sexy scene especially Jennifer Love Hewitt's outfit is always showing her HUGE asset. I know you have BIG BooBs but do you have to show it every scene? It just makes the show so sexist. I love most about their love relationship as husband and wife. David Conrad is so understanding in this show and I do love him. Sometimes I wish he is my husband. He is like a perfect husband. A dream husband everybody love to have but can't have. Too good to be true either! Hahhahha... None the less.. he does a good job in this role. Jennifer Love Hewitt.. F U N N Y at times and can be annoying with her persistence in the show. She get so caught up with helping spirits cross over that she always puts David Conrad in second place and he do understand and give into her so much. Jennifer is doing good deed to help spirit cross over so that they will find peace and for that I take my hat of her.

Auntie 2 Diagnose with Spinal Cancer

We can never be too careful when comes to cancer. She was a health conscious person who does regular health check but who would have guess that she got spinal cancer? Sigh... how can one actually spot cancer until it becomes serious. People getting advance in technology and so does diseases. This is so irony sometimes. It all comes it the matter of fate and which many of us can't escape no matter how hard we try. We can only pray that she is not at that dangerous stage. I may not be close to her but my heart goes out to her when I hear that. So I also want to check my health too as a schedule plan this year. I may want to die some day but I definitely want to avoid dieing from cancer a dangerous disease and painful one. Have Mercy on all of us GOD!

So quiet and creepy at the plant today. Surpise... my boss is not around! Peaceful today. What can I say. Relaxing Day! ALRIGHT

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year is offically over for me and back to work on the third day of CNY tomorrow. This year is so peaceful as no visitors from Father-in-laws place. Cousins at my place as usual still the same old same old. Every year got something new. This year cousins place always got someone with a black face. This year is Cheryl's turn. Not sure what happen.

So manage to talk to those cousins which not doing well but they are positive about things. So nothing much to add but to hope for a better year then last year.

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year, offically begins tomorrow or rather midnight!

You will hear the Lion Dance Drums and the Lion Dance everywhere. In addition, there are also small or bit pots of mini oranges which brings luck. Most people would wear red this time also bring luck. We need luck and plenty of it for the year as economy started long ago to be extremely bad this year! This year, ang pow for my kids will not be alot. Why? Reason being that big brother-in-law has moved to young brother-in-law house and they are not inviting people to come over for visiting. Anyway, their house is cramp with stuff. This can be a good thing to me! This means that I don't have to be bored to bleep bleep waiting for all of them to come and entertain them. I just don't like entertaining people. Nothing much to talk and it is at this time people can only gossip which isn't one of my specialty. However, I do look forward every year this time to be with my cousins. Why? Not that my kids can get big ang pows is just that I feel the love there with all my Aunties and Uncles and Cousins. They are filled with laughter and not so boring. Good food there too. Always like the curry the maid cook.

Honey Corn Flakes Cookies for CNY

Ok.. every Chinese New Year (CNY) I always do this. Make Honey Corn flakes Cookies! So this year still the same but I made more. Bought a box of Kellogs Corn Flakes and made them. Didn't know I end up with 3 small tins and 1 big tin. WOW that is alot I made this year! Phew! Lucky got helper, my little girl. I used to make pineapple tarts that melts in your mouth but somehow I find that too much work and end up doing this simple and yet quick one.

3rd treatment - Yun Nam

Ok... nothing new ... still the same old same old just that this time no more applying egg white on my hair. I am alright with that as long as the other treatments are as usual.

Health Check

Schedule today to do the health check @ Raffles Hospital that is required by my company. So told my boss that I will leave the company @ 2pm to catch the train all the way to Raffles Hospital before their last appointment which is at 4pm. Like my dispatch uncle told me, if I schedule to leave Jurong Island @ 3pm, I most likely will rech there only @ 4:30pm which is late so I push it forward to 2pm instead.

Ok.. reach there about 3: 15pm which is just right. Took my que number and waited for my number to be called. I thought it would be a quick one. However, I was wrong. Even though it is PRIVATE Hospital, still it didn't move any faster then it would. Although I must admit that at least they are slight better then Government Hospital. So can't complain but only can whine as usual. So how long eventually it took? 1 Hour plus. & I thought that I could get out by 4pm but end up completing the check almost 5pm. Sigh... so couldn't take the opportunity to do other stuff like I would like to

4. Urine Test
5. X-ray
6. See the doctor

Finally, I am good! Comforting, I guess!

Reunion Dinner

This year Reunion Dinner is early!


No Thanks to younger brother-in-law who wants to drive in early this year into his wife's place in Malaysia. I can understand the long journey to drive there but do you have to do that? It is reunion dinner! What is the point of having reunion dinner if you have it early? Don't have it lah! Better right? & becoz he wants to have an early reunion dinner, we all have to suffer and come to his house for reunion dinner after work on Thursday. It was a tiring day to go to his house after work coz my husband have also to drive home to pick up the kids and drive to his house. Sigh... though I must say that I did get a chance to run some errands and bought some stuff. That I do appreciate it! However, still didn't quite enjoy having the reunion dinner and not that the food was no good but just that is so rush. Reach his house @ 7:30pm and then eat until almost 9pm. Then got to go coz I have to work the next day. My husband have to go to work early. See it isn't a real good reunion dinner after all. Then we left 9:30pm to drive home. Reach home at about 10pm and have to unpack everything and get the kids ready to bed. All and all .. I can only get to bed @ 11pm in which I am exhausted and the next day I almost couldn't get up coz not enough sleep. & I am not the only one who is upset by this early arrangement. Father-in-law is too !

Female Dog = Bitch & Male Dog = ?

After several search about defining what a male dog represents, finally found this that clearly states what a male dog is. Often we use the term "Bitch"in female but we have no clue as to what a male who acts like a bitch be called? Then we just say bitch too! However, the correct term is stud for male dog. Who would have figured that out that a male dog be a "Stud". Sounds too cool right? But true enough. Read about the definition by Wikipedia.

Found this site on the web. Taxi Drivers these days are terrible and their unprofessional feedback from passengers are increasing. Cab companies can't do much but say "we will investigate and get back to you". However, no need to wait coz they lightly never will get back to you. Typical! Go to some other place that does takes action. Like LTA

2nd Treatment - Yun Nam

Plucking the white hairs continue today again...

Didn't know that I have so much white hair underneath my black hair. At an appearance it only seem to have three or four perhaps but it now seem quite more then that. Today, the same person serve like last week. Thinking about it... I didn't quite have to get so work up about who serve me and I really do not care who serve me. My real concern is that they'd be gentle at handling my hair and not cause me pain. I seek treatment from them coz I am loosing hair and the roughness in handling my hair may not be a good idea coz that will make me loose more hair and would seem the treatment is no use.

I can't really complain much except that the person who is serving me today again seem very busy to attend to me. Again like rush rush.... bad image for them. No matter I took it easy today and didn't blow up. The rest of the treatment was as usual.

Many times people even like me pick up a travel package coz its cheap and most of the time we end up getting angry with the kind of service they provide. Credit Card

Finally, after trying and trying for applying for my own credit card, I finally got one. No more supplementary card. This is one of my goal that I need to achieve for a very very long time. Thanks to my current company and my boss without them, I couldn't achieved this goal.

I have tried applying for the credit card in MayBank for two times and two times they have rejected me. No matter, I did try! So I thought I give it a try with UOB thinking that I will also be rejected but what the hack, go try and see lor. Called them today to check the status of my application and was surprised to learn that it have been approved and I will be getting my card shortly. WOW... I couldn't really believe that it has been approved and was really happy to hear that. So I went home and open the letter box to see if the credit card came in and to my surprise it have. Yippy! So it wasn't me that is not good enough for a credit card and it is MayBank and their strict rules for not approving me. Anyhow, doesn't matter now. I can strike that goal and considered "Accomplished".

Although I must say that the current credit card wasn't exactly what I am looking for but it comes close and feels extremely good to have my very own credit card now. Million thanks to UOB for approving my application for a credit card.

Bottle Tree @ Katib

The MRT always pass by this place near Katib. They have a pond, some hut (restaurant) and playground. Wasn't sure where this place is and wanted to bring my children there some day to play.

So finally I knew it is Bottle Tree Restaurant! We went there today coz my husband got some event. We were late and didn't get to do fishing of long kao (drain) fish. However, we did get to fish for prawns and we got 4 in total. My husband grilled it there; they have a grill for those who do not want to bring their fished up prawns. Boy! Was it FRESH & TASTY!

My boy threw his bottle into the pond and my husband try to be a hero to try to pick it back up from the pond but didn't get hold of it and let me nag at him for being crazy to do that! So there goes the good bottle floating in the pond!

Bring my boy to the playground coz he couldn't play the fish prawn game nor the fish long kao fish. So he was bored and annoyed. No matter, when he saw the playground he enjoyed it.

So this day wasn't all that wasted. We went to Chong Pang as I wanted to shop for some decorations for my company. Bought the small ang pow envelope to make the Chinese Lantern Auntie (company cleaner) taught me to do. Phew! For a moment I thought I couldn't find it and I saw it there. Fruitful Saturday! Tired though!

1st Treatment @ Yun Nam

Despite many have feedback about Yun Nam being a cheat and also Beijing101 being a cheat too, I still proceed with the package I have signed p with Yun Nam. Why? It is cheaper then Beijing 101. Not that I have been to Beijing1o1 to ask how much their package was but I heard from an Auntie working in the same company say so. Not only that, I have also heard it from feedback from internet too. Anyway, I already signed up so no turning back but to try the 10 treatment and see how the effect was.

Ok... I have been washing my hair for the past one week using their recommended shampoo, conditioner and essence (what you call it). So I noticed that my hair don't drop as much as it does. How I know coz before I used their shampoo, I always have hair on clothes, on tables, on floors of office and also when brushing my hair with my hands. Say it is psychological effect but I do feel less hair drop. So it is not a miracle pill but an improvement takes time and I am giving it time. Besides, I am not a stage that is beyond hope. Not forgetting I am definitely not alone. Many have written that they too are going bald too and trying for other effective way of regaining hair.

Back to my feedback with the 1st Treatment @ Yun Nam. Ok .. again I got played with this again. I swear ... these people always like to pull this fast stun on you after you sign the package with them. It is like to fall into their trap so they don't care. However, I am not going to take that with a period just there. So what happen was that they put someone else to serve despite I specifically book the appointment for the particular person to serve me. Like that never mind. I am already loosing my hair and this stand in person is so rough with my hair. Keep either pulling, cliping my hair up so painful and blowing my hair all over my face (blow my hair until infront of my face like a ghost). Never have I ever had anyone blow my hair until infront of my face and all over. I am peeved ... but I still keep my cool. Then she ask me to give her 5 mins so that she can serve another customer. Now then I really BOIL! What is this! I have to wait for her to serve another customer! End of Treatment I told the Branch Manager I am PEEVED! The reason I book her appointment is I want her to serve me and if I want someone else to do my hair I would have book anyone or even walk in. No matter I still keep my cool and nag my way back home.

Taxis

Singapore is a place where you can get taxis almost anywhere conveniently. You can stand anywhere down the road and flag a taxi that does not have any passenger and they will stop for you.However, sometimes taxis have plenty of problem in which they must take care to really evaluate themselves.

1. They stop at dangerous area especially at the junction of traffic becoz some ignorant passenger flag for taxi there.
2. They do need to have some consideration for their passenger especially when there is a traffic jam on the road.
One scenario, traffic jam, on the rush to get to the airport, don't tail gate the vehicle in front of you. Keep it moving and not keep to the same lane that is stuck or take another route to get to the airport.
Second scenario, consider your passenger, if you were the passenger won't you want to avoid having the meter running up if you keep tail gate the same lane that is slow?
Third scenario, switch lane safely and not dangerously
3. Drive safely when passenger in it.
4. Stop picking the customers you want to pick especially in the town area.
5. Price is costly during peak hours! 35% of the price of the meter is charge on top for taking the taxi during peak period. No wonder everyone avoid taking taxi.

Old don't mean you can get away

I have nothing against old people and have utmost respect them for their old age as one day I will be like that too. However, some old people take for granted by preying on people on their kindness for their old age.

They do that by cutting into ques while waiting for bus at bus stops. I wish they will quit doing that as this will make people frastrated and feel like scolding them. Have some respect for yourself as well as for others. Being ignorant and pretend you don't know that you are cutting que is no excuse. People give in to you becoz they don't want to scold you coz you are old. However, that doesn't really mean that you can continue to prey on their kindness and continue doing it. This would only mean that you are no different from cheating. Besides, if there are many old people who do the same thing then there is no point queing up already.

Here comes Year 2009!

Ok... the new year has arrived!

Starting a new life in Jurong Island! Why I am still here is that it is paying me well despite the place is far and the transport there sucks and I also curse and swear everytime the bus driver is late.

Went yesterday to Yun Nam @ Jurong Point to analyze my hair. Notice that my hair is thinning and greying and I am not even 50s yet. So was my suspicious right? Yeah... I saw it myself that my hair is thinning alright. Phew! The consultant says not at a bad stage yet. I know it is a bit expensive but it sure beats going bald and looking with a patch. Alright.. I am vain.. so what? I am HUMAN & a Woman! Go ask any woman who tells you that she is not vain! She most likely is LYING! So I did it in my list of plan this year. I sign up for a package that is within my budget. I figure why wait as I am working and I have salary that pays well... do first worry later. No doubt that God have said in bible that no one have to worry what you have to wear but God can't help you if you are going bald so better to help myself first. Hahhahha
